Rather than give players too much to process, Bethesda seemingly wanted them to focus on what’s new. It was a tantalizing tease, no doubt, and it may well be the best course of action for Bethesda. and some traditional gunplay, and then the footage would move on. A combat scenario would trigger, we would see quick cuts of V.A.T.S. Sure, they highlighted the new features, but viewers saw very little of the game running beat-for-beat. Surprisingly, the area that Bethesda didn’t focus on much at all during their presentation was gameplay. There are closer looks at the character customization, which lets players manipulate any feature on their avatar’s face some closer looks at the weapon and Power Armor customization options, which appear to be extremely involved and some shots of the Fallout 4 enemies, including the revamped Deathclaw design. Then Bethesda Game Studios’ Todd Howard stunned everyone (okay, not really) by announcing the Fallout 4 release date of November 10, 2015.īy the time Bethesda was done saying all they wanted to say about Fallout 4 there was so much to process, and still so much left unsaid. There was talk of player customization, weapon customization, an awesome Fallout 4 Collector’s Edition complete with real Pip-Boy, and of course gameplay.

However, when it came time to talk about Fallout 4 it was hard to keep up. Fans knew, Bethesda knew, but even so the publisher played coy and kept the viewers waiting.

Heading into Bethesda’s E3 2015 Press Conference, or showcase as the publisher liked to call it, there was no doubt that Fallout 4 would steal a major chunk of the show.
